MARINE CARGO

Ever since its incorporation in 1958 our company has surveyed damage to cargo, whether shipped in bulk or as mixed cargo in containers. Our office is centrally located (close to the Port of Amsterdam, for instance), so we can come over quickly and 24/7 in the event of irregularities occurring during the discharge of a seagoing vessel or containers.

The marine cargo generally originates from Asia and is meant for the European retail market. It is shipped by container to the Port of Rotterdam or other CTU’s in Europe. In addition we survey damage caused to household contents and personal effects of expats moving around the world.

We are also experienced in ascertaining the nature, cause and extent of damage to commodities shipped in bulk, such as coffee, cocoa, timber and soybeans. And we believe our role extends beyond a mere assessment of the damage.

Our focus is also on the complete transit operation and other procedures and we will not hesitate to make suggestions if we think these processes can be improved. In doing so, we contribute to the success and profit of all the organizations involved. Wherever relevant, we will take measures to mitigate the loss and apply our vast experience in salvage sales.
